Post Log of YouTube administrative actions

If you have a YT channel, use this thread to notify of any adimistrative actions you take and the reasons for taking them, and YouTube software does not appear to record them. These actions are:
*Removal of videos
*Setting videos to private or public, listing or unlisting them.
*Enabling and disabling comments on videos.
*Blocking and unblocking user.

On the topic of blocking people, please block mrcooldude964 and ClearingStoneProphet.

It surprises me after all this time, given all the vloggers there are out there, that no one so far is recording them here.

...

It surprises me that you are surprised.

You come on here in your first post, making some kind of demand of people, about something that sounds completely pointless and arbitrary, for which you give no explanation whatsoever.
And on top of that you demand that we block two random people that none of us know, and you again give no explanation??

Then almost two years later, you appear out of the blue to resurrect this dead post (I would say thread, but...), sounding almost insulted that no one heeded your random demands, and you're even assuming that the active users here perform these administrative actions, let alone even have a channel.

Seriously, what the hell??

They are not two random people, but people who were both going around trying to convert other people (who they most certainly didn't know personally) to Christianity. Perhaps I should have said that.

The idea is to keep a record of administrative actions, as it seems highly likely that at least some would want to make it public.

I am not insulted by it. It does seems that plenty of active users here have channels, and if they have sufficient videos, would be very likely to perform such administrative actions.

So sort of a "Hey, I have a youtube channel and I'm blocking these ppl for reasons xyz. Therefore you might want to consider doing the same."?

You should have said that, yes, because until you did, they were random to everyone else. I know this may be hard for you, but you need to do a quick mental check of the knowledge you have on a subject and see how that matches the knowledge your audience has.

But once you've done that, you'll still need to accept that other people may have different motivations and feelings on a subject than you.

Personally, I'd probably not ban people like that, bur rather expose them and their nonsense. But... I don't really know much about them, so I couldn't say. I'd need more info in order to form an opinion.

Why is it likely that some would want to make it public? To me there isn't much of interest in such actions, and if anything interesting ever happened, it would probably warrant a separate topic.

I don't really see much channel activity around here these days, so there seems to be very little to report. I believe there is another thread going where crazy YT comments from some user (I think it's HWIN?) are occasionally posted.

It is not our place (where "our" means the LoR community and we consider "LoR" as an entity) to pass collective judgement, and therefore take positive action against, events, perceived transgressions, or misdemeanours taking place with members of, or within, another online community.

You're welcome to maintain this thread to log whatever it is you'd like to log, but I suspect that others are unlikely to do the same. Of course, they're welcome to...
