Post Live a fulfilling and beautiful life for only $4000!

http://www.fortuneevents.com/

 In this website, they're basically offering a program entitled "Quantum Leap Your Life" (I'll ignore the fact that this has nothing to do with anything "quantum") that will apparently teach you, and I quote, "The power of Quantum and how LESS IS MORE in all aspects of life once you truly understand this fundamental law, The 7 senses and how all highly successful people create massive shifts and results in their lives, How to dispel limiting beliefs that are holding you back, How to find your own 'unique ability' which is your key to a fulfilling and rewarding life, What you want to Be, Do and Have most in your life, The physical aspects of Quantum and an understanding of where strength really comes from, How to shortcut the process of 'going to the gym' to achieve physical strength and weight loss, The 12 Tones of Wealth, (and) How to develop a SUCCESS mindset so that nothing will stop you from 'getting' what you want!"
*Bold emphasis removed

Really, this is almost as bad as The Secret. It sounds like more new age "miracle working" bullshit that will make you essentially a superhuman by giving motivational speeches about how important you are and how sitting on your ass will get you ripped. Oh, but unlike The Secret, instead of making you pay twenty bucks for a DVD or a book, you have to pay for a plane ticket to Australia and $4000 for these oh so deep, profound, and esoteric messages. The whole thing reeks of nothing but another attempt to rob people of their money, and giving them false hope. These guys are almost right up there with faith healers.

I could be wrong, though. Perhaps these guys are legit. This is why I brought this to my dear friends at LOR, who may be able to shed some light on this. Admittedly, there is one thing that makes me have a slight doubt about this program's falsity. One of the instructors is Glen Levy, who for those of you who don't know, is a world renowned martial artist and stuntman, whose skills actually have been tested at NASA and a few universities. For a guy who truly does have this much skill and knowledge, I can't see someone like him working in a giant hoax.

"The healthcare system is killing you."
The video says it all.

Some of the things we covered there, amongst Glen's backflips, one handed handstand kicks and other athleticism were:
- Is history a lie. Who really did build the pyramids? What really was thier purpose
- Signs, simply things we see and take for granted, but have a very ancient message long forgotten
- The Kuji In. The 9 secret meridian points of the Ninja and how they are used to lose weight and gain insight
- The power of the five elements, water, fire, earth, air and void
- Love
Uh... The video presents him like an "Ancient Wisdom Explorer". The blog seems pretty normal, doesn't sell woo woo, it's just a journal of where they've been and what they've done. Though now and then you'll find things like in mikehandcock.wordpress.com/2009/09/11/the-1111-show-3709/
These people have a huge role to play over the next few years as we spin toward 2012. [...]
Mike's learning for this week., Always trust your intuition and always practice your psychic powers. We all have them. In this Millennium twice as many as the 1990's and growing everyday. If you think its odd to do this these days, then you are probably the odd one.

> Glen Levy. See Mike Handcock. Too much information about his athletic skills to google what he really thinks in only five minutes 8-) He doesn't seem to have a blog nor anything similar; just goes with Glen.

Does it have anything to do with the tv show?

I dunno, the worst part about the secret is that it's cheap and simple and plays of something as simple and valued as optimism so millions of people believe it.

If "less is more" then why do they need $4000? Why aren't they paying you, so that they can have less?

I'd sign up today but I'm waiting for that deposit from the nigerian prince whose family did business with my ancestors.

Don't just bring it here, send it to JREF (James Randi Educational Fund). I'm sure Mr. Randi will love this, especially if a good number of people have bought into it.

I can tell you beyond any doubt that this is bullshit. The way to get in shape is by going to the gym and/or do exercises. They are simply trying to profit from the mindset that it's not really your own fault that you're a fat ass, and that you should be able to get in shape without putting effort in to it.

Also, they're making unfalsifiable claims, such as "if you do this then you will be better off". How does one test this? I could be better off, but I don't know where I'd be without it. I could equally be worse off than I would if I didn't do it.

And if his methods of getting in shape are that good that they "shortcut the process of 'going to the gym' " then why isn't he much stronger than everyone else? Surely, if his methods are that good he could beyond any doubt become that much stronger than anyone else, yet I doubt he is.

And uh, eating healthy.

Or more precisely, they're trying to profit from the mindset that the ideal body shape is one that is obtained by the dual factors of starvation and genetic anomalies (that are shared by only about 5% of women).

He (I believe you're talking about Glen Levy) is actually stronger than most people. His punch is 12898 pounds per square inch, and Mike Tyson's is roughly 1200, making Levy's punch 10x stronger than Tyson's.

Except... does he really have all that skill? Really? From what I'm reading, he's a stuntman with martial arts training, pretending to be an expert. The "martial art" that he does is invented by him, and doesn't seem to have much to do with reality. He's apparently only "world-renowned" in his own mind, through his own website and promotional appearances. If you look up some of the other names of people who were on the "Fight Science" TV shows, you see links to their Dojo, Wikipedia entries, whatever. This guy is sort of a phony and a fraud.
