Post Feasibility of a Gigaton Nuclear Weapon

Anyone happen to know much about the possibility of such a weapon?
Obviously detonating it on Earth would be a horrifying prospect, but a detonation in space (perhaps on the other side of the sun) would be interesting to say the least. And would likely show anyone listening in for hundreds of light years that we are here.
And IIRC, Arthur C Clarke had the idea of using an enormous nuclear bomb to plot the positions of every comet and meteorite in the solar system by picking up the radio blips as the light from the bomb hits a body and reflects back to Earth. So the benefits of building one could be very important in the long run.
A great Charity
Apologies for my absence of late.

Yeah. That odd solar-flare-type blip might mess up a data point someone's light curve of the Sun -- and properly discarded as an anomalous or erroneous data point.

I doubt anyone will be looking at our sun in radio. It's not exactly an interesting radio target.
But alas, it's not really interesting in any wavelength.

The Russians have built a bomb in the 60's only 1 order of magnitude smaller so I'm sure it is quite feasible.
